Welcome to Horton Hears a Who - Katie's Fan Club

Welcome on board. I watched Horton Hears a Who a few days ago, and totally fell in love with Katie.

Katie is one of the student of Horton. She is creepy but at the same time, very cute and creative. Katie's character represent very intelligent, smart and creative juxtaposition of many animals. Katie fluffy and yellow, she is a sheep like animal, with a lion tail, with a tougue of frog and some weird looking teeth... strange enough she can also float in the air!

Katie only is a minor character and only appear in a few scenes in Horton Hears a Who, however, to me, she totally steal the scenes. The movie is not the same without her. She is just so unique and memorable - especially with her famous line: "In my world everyone's a pony, and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies" then moon-walking into the bush.

Why do I start this blog? Well, after I watched the movie, I really wanted a Katie plush, for your information I am not some 10 year old kid :) I am in my mid 20's and love plushies! And... I really want Katie.

However after searching and googling through the internet all afternoon, I found nothing. I came across to Yahoo! Answer, seeing there are already many people asking for Katie's plush. There was an article from a journalist, who loves Katie, reported that there won't be any Katie's Plush after calling 20th Century Fox and contacting the merchandising manager of Horton see link - http://www.palmbeachpost.com/search/content/accent/epaper/2008/04/03/a1e_heather_katie_0403.html

To me Katie, at the moment is one of the most sought after toy on the internet. They underestimate the popularity of Katie.

I just hope, by starting up Katie's Fan Club, the toy companies would realise how many people out there in the market would purchase Katie's toy if they would produce them. I know the movie will stand its own, but, I still want a Katie plush...
